South Shore Commission
(members Frank McCurrey, Sheryl Henry, Sidney "Pinchback" Lennear,
Eugene Rogers, David Henderson and Warren Haygood) this group was
actually formed in 1960 in Washington, DC, as The Exciters. In 1965 they
became a back-up band for The Five Du-Tones and were signed to the One-Derful
label in Chicago. When The Five Du-Tones broke up in 1967 Frank McCurry
joined The Exciters and they became The South Shore Commission.
