Don & Juan The Genies (members Roy Hammond, Bill Gains, Alexander "Buddy" Faison, Fred Jones and Claude Johnson) Shad 5002 - Who's That Knockin' / The First Time - 1958 (shortly after this single came out Bill Gains ran off with a girl to Canada and was never heard of again) Hollywood 69-1 - No More Knockin' / On The Edge Of Town - 1959 (the group breaks up in 1959, Fred Jones moved back to Brooklyn, Roy Hammond became Roy C and actually records a 45 in 1961 Roy Hammond & The Genies on FORUM 701 titled "Mama Blow Your Top / It's Getting Cold (unsure of The Genies line-up), Claude met Roland Trone in a coffee shop in Long Beach in 1960 and the two began painting houses for a living. A tenant heard them singing while they were painting an apartment building and put them in touch with Peter Paul who brought them to BIG TOP records they became Don (Roland) and Juan (Claude)).
